Ceylon Hill GooseberryThe Ceylon Hill Gooseberry is a beautiful ornamental shrub that produces a stunning display of pink or purple flowers. During spring the flowers are shortly followed by round purple berries that have few seeds. The small sweet berries are delicious eaten fresh or in jams as they are similar in taste to blueberries and raspberries but have a thick, rich juice. Once established the bush is very frost hardy and will fruit as far south as Victoria.
