Neoregelia 'Maestra Vida'Neoregelia 'Maestra Vida' is a stunning mini Neo from Lisa Vizant in Hawaii. It has a lovely compact habit and is heavily cross banded with russet red and hot pink leaf tips. Colours and habit intensifying in a hot sunny position. Maestra Vida translates as 'Life teacher'. Neoregelia's are very easy to grow they can be mounted with some moss and bark to root into or they can be grown in a pot, which i prefer to do as it allows for easy maintanance of

it can make a rosette of leaves up to 18 inches across

recurvata is the most common of the recurvata's

and the flower spike (which often just turns into a pup without flowering) is a nice dark red

It is a medium size plant
